This CAN bus accessories controller fits BMW R1200 LC Series motorcycles. It plugs into your BMW’s CAN bus controller system, any warranty concerns regarding altering wiring on your motorcycle are needless. Adding a CAN bus accessory controller to your CAN bus equipped bike is a bit of a no-brainer in our opinion. An accessory controller gives you the opportunity to easily add necessary (or not so necessary) motorcycle accessories to your bike.
Auxiliary lights for motorbikes are maybe the biggest category of bike accessories to mention here. For a good reason as the more lights, the more visible the rider to other road users. And the more a rider can see in the dark. Further there are also louder motorcycle horns which you can add. Or a GPS / SatNav. Or, for those who drive in autumn or spring or through all year, heated clothes and gloves are amazing (believe us, we’ve road-tested them…).
Apart from the easy addition of motorcycle accessories to your bike, the VoloCan CAN bus accessory controller uses some really smart technology. It offers integrated functionality of auxiliary lights strobing in time with your hazard lights or turning off an auxiliary light when signalling. All seamlessly working together so you can just focus on what is happening around you. Read on to learn more about all VoloCan features.
The VoloCan fits the following BMW models:

PLEASE NOTE: If your BMW motorcycle is NOT equipped with the TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) then please get in touch, we can offer this CAN bus accessory controller for BMW models without TPMS too.
Be seen earlier. Features for your aux lights and indicators
VectoLabs’ VoloCan offers thought-through features to make you and your bike more visible to other road users.
Any auxiliary lights strobe when the flash-to-pass button is pressed. You can also adjust your aux lights’ brightness with the BMW wonderwheel.
Due to the VoloCan’s inverse flashing feature you will be much more visible when activating your hazards.
Day/night-time brightness is automatically adjusted by the CAN bus controller, the controller sees the CANbus signal to turn on the dipped headlight when light levels fall low enough. The controller then reduces the power of the lights in accordance to the fading daylight so as not to dazzle other road users.
When you indicate, the system dims your aux lights. As a result the surrounding traffic can see your indicator rather than the bright auxiliary light and are aware of your intention to change direction.
Deceleration and break light features
Following traffic often has no idea of how quickly a bike can decelerate when the throttle is closed. This can result in the rider being rear-ended and sustaining severe injuries and a trashed bike.
The VoloCan comes with an inbuilt accelerometer which measures deceleration force, whether this is by closing the throttle or applying the brakes. Hence, the accessory controller detects deceleration it will give an output to an auxiliary brake light (if fitted) to warn following traffic that you are slowing. Giving them a chance to slow as well, reducing the risk of injury to you and damage to your bike.
You can adjust the output of the decelerometer to show either a solid brake light or strobing light to really get the attention of whoever is behind you.
