It connects straight to your bike’s battery and automatically detects when the engine is running/charging and switches off when the engine is stopped. That means your accessories only get power when the bike’s on – no risk of draining your battery when parked up. It’s waterproof, compact, and built to last – perfect for everything from everyday road riding to hardcore adventure touring.
NEW: All ThunderBox models come now with a 20cm longer battery connection cables (50cm instead of 30cm). This makes sense, considering the size of some of the adventure bikes out there. The Honda Africa Twin would be only one of many to mention here.
Connect 2 Ring Terminals To The Battery
The ThunderBox makes fitting aftermarket accessories real easy. Just connect the 2 ring terminals to your battery. The piano key-style locking connectors make it even easier to connect parts, just lift the orange tab, insert the wire from your accessory and press the tab down again, job done.

How does the ThunderBox work?
The ThunderBox constantly monitors battery voltage, engine state (running or off), and connected outputs, and automatically switches your accessories on or off as needed.
It keeps the power to your accessories disabled until the engine is running smoothly, ensuring 100% of your battery is available for starting. But what happens if you want to set your route up in the GPS without the engine runiing as an example?
Well the Thunderbox can be ignition triggered if you prefer that way so your accessories are power just by turning the ignition on. Included in the kit is a white wire that plugs into the Healtech and the other end you take from a 12V source that is live when the ignition is on and off when the ignition is off, this then starts and stops your accessories with the bike but without the need to have the engine running.

Which ThunderBox Do I Need – 16A or 32A?
Both versions offer the same smart functionality, but with different power handling:
- 16A Version (TB-1): Delivers a total of 16 Amps continuous load – ideal for basic to moderate setups like GPS, phone chargers, dash cams, or heated grips.
- 32A Version (TB-2): Handles up to 32 Amps – designed for bikes with a full accessory suite including spotlights, heated seats, multiple USB ports, and more.
If you’re unsure, we recommend going with the 32A for peace of mind and flexibility for future upgrades.

You can add a plug-and-play dual USB charging port (2.1A per port, 5V) to your ThunderBox setup (part number TB-USB1). The port is weatherproof and compact, so you can mount it wherever you need power – handlebars, tank bag, top box, or cockpit. Good to know: You can add multiple USB chargers to one TB unit!
