DENALI DL4 Driving Lights with DataDim™ Technology – Balanced Power, Durability & Value
Need serious lighting that’s tough, smart, and doesn’t cost the earth? The DL4 Driving Lights hit that sweet spot between performance and price. Designed using over a decade of real-world rider feedback, they deliver outstanding beam reach and width, rock-solid build quality, and Denali’s signature dimming tech – making them a top choice for riders who want their main auxiliary lights to work hard in all conditions. Whether you’re lighting up your local lanes or clocking miles on an adventure tour, the DL4 is ready to go.
So how do the DL4 Driving Lights offer this level of performance without the usual premium price?
Simple: smart engineering. A one-piece TIR optic and robotically sealed housing keep the build efficient, reducing parts and assembly time without compromising quality. Inside, it’s the same top-shelf LEDs, high-grade circuitry, and beam tech you’d expect from a pro-level light. The result? A tough, submersible unit that’s built to last and delivers unbeatable light-per-pound.
The DL4 Driving Lights come in white, amber, or selective yellow beam options. They’re fully plug-and-play with Denali harnesses and controllers, so installation is as straightforward as it gets. And if you’d rather not do the install yourself, we’ve got you covered – book our UK-wide mobile fitting service or pop by and let us fit them for you while you grab a coffee.
The DL4 Pods Feature Denali’s Perfected Hybrid Driving Beam
With 4 LEDs per pod and a powerful 3,400-lumen per light pod (6,800-lumen output per pair), the DL4 is a rock-solid choice for all bikes. The perfected hybrid beam gives you a great balance of distance and side visibility, making it ideal as your main auxiliary light setup. It’s compact enough to fit tight spaces but packs a serious punch – whether mounted on crash bars, forks, or tucked in under an ADV fender.
Features of the DENALI DL4 Driving Lights – Built for Real Riders:
HiDrive™ LEDs – 6,800 Lumens Per Pair
Each DL4 pod packs 4 high-powered CREE LEDs, driven at 8 watts each. That’s 6,800 lumens of serious light output per pair – ideal for riders who want to see far and wide on dark roads or trails.
Oversized TIR Optics – Optimised Hybrid Beam
Denali’s custom Total Internal Reflection (TIR) optics don’t just look good – they perform. The DL4’s beam gives you the ideal balance of distance and spread, all from a compact housing that’s easy to mount in tight spots.
DataDim™ – Plug-&-Play Dimming Simplicity
The DL4 is ready for smart integration straight out of the box. With Denali’s signature 3-wire design, you can plug in to any standard Denali harness, DialDim, or CANsmart controller and get reliable high/low beam switching without the faff of additional buttons on your handlebars.
DrySeal™ – 100% Waterproof and Submersible
Adventure doesn’t stop for bad weather, and neither does the DL4. Thanks to a robotically sealed lens and potted cable entry, these lights are completely waterproof – even with the connectors removed.
Seriously Tough Build – Without the Premium Price
Heavy-duty 4mm powder-coated steel brackets, a chunky heatsink, and vibration resistance tested to 21grms mean the DL4 can take a beating. The polycarbonate lens has a UV-hardened coating too, so it won’t fog, fade, or crack under pressure.
ECE Certified Hybrid Beam
The DL4’s driving beam is ECE approved for use as a primary or auxiliary high beam across the EU – just note that amber and yellow lenses are for off-road use only.

Choose Your Perfect Wiring and Switching Setup
When it comes to wiring up your new DL4 Driving Lights, you’re in control. Denali expanded their range of options so you can pick the best harness and switch setup for your bike – and your budget. Just select from the choices beneath or hit the links to find out more about each one.
Important: Don’t forget to add a wiring option to your light pods to complete your Denali lighting kit!
Here’s a quick rundown of what’s available:
- Premium Powersports HarnessÂ
This harness gives you overmoulded wires for extra durability, plus a premium illuminated switch with a full handlebar mounting kit. A simple, clean, pro-looking install. - DataDimâ„¢ Module
Want your lights to automatically switch from 50% on dipped beam to 100% on main? The DataDim module is an easy way to do this, but given the output power of the DL4 we would recommend the DialDim or CANsmart controller for adjusting these lights, and not the DataDim. Get in touch to learn more about the why… - DialDimâ„¢ Lighting Controller
If you want the ultimate manual setup, this is it. The DialDim controller lets you independently control two sets of lights – on/off and dimming – using a single halo dimmer switch. It’s seriously smart and gives you full control over your lighting system. Plus, you get extra features like:- Sync high/low beam
- Strobe with horn
- Flash with turn signals
- Cancel with turn signals
- Electronic fuse setting
- Battery voltage monitoring
Please note: There are DialDim units available for some bikes with all the plug and play connections pre-made simplifying the install process so check these out if you have such a model. If your bike is not covered, then simply use the standard kit in the link above.
- CANsmartâ„¢ Controller
If your motorcycle is electronically managed by a CANbus technology you will need to add a CANbus controller to install auxiliary lights. Controllers are available for a wide range of bikes and make installation and adjustment of your lights really easy. It’s seriously smart and gives you full control over your lighting system without the addition of ANY additional switches on your handlebars.
Plus, you get extra features like:- Sync high/low beam to your bikes headlight
- Strobe with horn
- Cancel with turn signals (Only when Turn signals are CANbus managed)
- Electronic fuse setting
- No additional Switches
- A Quick Note About Universal Fit: The DL4 Driving Lights are designed as a universal fit item, meaning they’re made to work with a wide range of bikes and vehicles.
Depending on your setup, you might need a vehicle-specific fit kit (sold separately) or a few small tweaks to get everything mounted just right.
While these lights fit loads of different machines, Denali can’t guarantee a perfect fit on every single model — so be sure to check the product details carefully for any special installation requirements before you buy. - Also available, but on back-to-back-orders: Denali Standard Automotive Harness, which is designed for cars and larger vehicles with extra long wire length and a flush-mount illuminated rocker switch (which is great for dash installations).
What’s in the box of a DL4 pod?
- Single light pod including:
1x Light Pod with Mounting Hardware
1x 3-wire pigtail Don’t forget: if you want two DL4 lights, just order two. You’ll get 2 of the above DL4 lights as well as 2 pigtails
